Some of the rescued dogs living at the Antelope Valley Dog and Cat Rescue (AVDCR) have been so mistreated and/or traumatized that they are unable to be adopted in their present condition. Whether they are agressive with other dogs, possessive with their new owners (aggressive with other people), or rough around children, these dogs must stay at the Rescue. These dogs are treated medicallly, fed and cared for, and the long back to becoming socialized is begun.

Some of these animals will stay at the Rescue for the rest of their lives.

Please consider sponsoring one or more of these animals. They are completely dependent upon the generosity of others for their well being and a monthly gift will insure that they are able to live out their lives in a peaceful and nurturing environment.
