The Antelope Valley Dog and Cat Rescue's vision is to reduce animal overpopulation. Our goal is to offer free spay and neutering to all dogs and cats throughout the entire Antelope Valley.
AVDCR's primary goal in the absence of animal overpopulation reduction is to rescue abandoned dogs and cats, give them care, rehabilitate the adoptable, and give sanctuary to the unwanted.
Thank You!
A special thank you from Vilma:
"I would like to thank all who helped make the dedication event for Dr. Naiditch a memorable occasion:
Debbie Schmidt and her husband Steve and son Derek, for setting up, buying & serving food, and other arrangements.
Jim and Sandy Case worked very hard at cleaning the cat kennels. Randy and Margo, Carlos, Judy Reina, John Pleth and Jeni helped direct traffic, serve food, talk to guests, and clean up everything needed. Randy Flora, Daysi Rodriguez and daugher and son-in-law Karla & Otto cleaned and fed the dogs. Northrup Grumann volunteers, Adrienne, Kyle, Dakota, Lucas, and Bruce, and Bob and Debby, all of whom worked hard at making sure the Rescue property was clean and tidy.
A very special thank you to Kay Hopkins for always making sure our feline friends are well taken care of! Her dedication and ongoing work is vital to our organization!
We were honored with the presence of Senator Sharon Runner, Jeff McElfresh of Congressman Buck McKeon's Office, Representative Steve Knight, Norm Hickling of Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich's Office, Lauri Cook of the Palmdale Chamber of Commerce, Debbie Schmidt of the Quartz Hill Chamber of Commerce.
Of course, we thank all the guests, over 75, who took the time to honor Dr. Naiditch.
Dr. Naiditch has done a lot to support our rescue. We wer excited and pleased to dedicate our cat facility in her honor."
NEUTERING AND SPAYING
Spaying and neutering save more lives than any other long or short term remedies. All our rescued potential adoptees have been spayed and neutered, have microchips, and the cost is included in the adoption fee.
Pet Adoptions
Our adoption process includes an application, a home check to assure you and the potential adoptee(s) are safe and secure, and an adoption fee (this fee covers the cost of spaying and neutering, all necessary shots, and medical attention).
What Do We Need Today?
The Antelope Valley Dog and Cat Rescue has had an influx of new animals that have been dropped inside the gates or tied to the Rescue outside fence late at night.
We need Dry Dog Food (like Pedigree brand or Costco) always! We also need canned cat food!
We recently incurred repair bills for the Rescue well, as well as extensive veterinary bills. Please consider donating today!
We need to build more kennels and rely on your generosity to provide the materials and technical expertise.
